Michelle Dudley was found tragically stabbed to death outside of a home in the 9500 block of Muirkirk Road around 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, according to Prince George's County police.
Police were responding to a welfare check when they found Dudley, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family of the 33-year-old mother is remembering her as a "light" to the family, in a GoFundMe created to help with funeral costs.
"She was the light to our family, always with a bright & cheerful smile, and cheerful loving personality", said a fundraiser organizer. "The absence of her from our lives will be felt forever".
Dudley was lost to domestic violence, the family stated, leaving behind one child. A vigil will be held for her in the coming days.
Detectives have identified all parties involved and are working in conjunction with the State’s Attorney’s regarding the investigation.
